Keeping Fit While Travelling For Work
Your fitness routine doesn’t have to fall by the wayside when you travel. With a little preparation and planning, exercise can enhance your life on the road. Just remember these 5 simple to tips:
1. Exercise beforehand. If you are traveling over several time zones, get some exercise in before your flight. Even a 20 minute aerobic session can do wonders to help you relax on your lengthy journey.
2. Plan your workouts before you leave. Call the hotel beforehand to find out about local trails, parks, bike rentals, and sports facilities that are nearby.
3. Check the weather. If your prepared mentally and physically of inclement weather, you’re more likely to follow through with your outdoor workouts.
4. Pack with your program in mind. Bring your workout clothes, shoes, and simple gear like resistance tubes, bike gloves, swim goggles, or sunglasses.
5. Stay on the program. If you normally workout first thing in the morning, at lunchtime, or before dinner, do your best to exercise at the same when you’re on the road. Continuity with your routine will help you to stay on track, reduce stress, and adjust to time changes.

Whether you are an Ironman or a first-time triathlete - this event is a perfect way to spend a weekend with friends and those that are looking for a new challenge.
Last year’s inaugural event saw 134 take on the short triathlon course over a 24 hour period, while another 66 took part in the 6 hour event – all while raising funds for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR).
