Fast Track is designed to get you out of the office and getting active in your own time. By participating in all 4 events, it is hoped you will see a steady improvement in your overall fitness levels, general health and wellbeing.

EVENT CATEGORIES

4km Challenge:

 The 4km course starts at Kurilpa Park, winds over the Victoria Bridge, along the footpath under the Riverside Expressway, over the Goodwill Bridge, along past South Bank and back to Kurilpa Park. Click here to view a course map.

6km Challenge: 

The 6km course follows a similar route to the 4km course, but extends to do a loop of the Botanical Gardens before heading over the Goodwill Bridge and back towards Kurilpa Park. Click here to view a course map.

PLEASE NOTE: 

• All members of your team must complete the same distance for the duration of the Series.
• Replacement runners are NOT able to fill-in for team members who are unable to make race days. If fewer than 4 team members are present at each race, your team will no longer qualify for category prizes.

START TIMES

Flexible! You can complete your walk/run any time between 7am and 2pm. You do not have to start at the same time as your team mates, although it may be more fun and enjoyable if you all participate together. Come before work, in your lunch break, before or after meetings, when you need to get away from your desk – it’s up to you!

 

TEAMS

To qualify for prizes, teams must consist of 5 members. Individuals and teams of between 2 and 4 can enter, but do not qualify for prizes.

ENTRIES CLOSE

ENTRY FEES

$300 per team of 5
$70 per team member for teams with less than 5 participants

• Team of 4 – $300
• Team of 3 – $210
• Team of 2 – $140
• Individual – $70

 

RACE KITS

Your race kit will include:

• Series briefing sheet
• Fast Track running singlet (which must be worn during each event – NB: We cannot guarantee singlet sizes, so get in early to ensure you get the size you want)
• Bib number (you will receive 1 bib to wear on the front of your running singlet in all 4 races)
• Timing chip (built-in to the back of your bib number – please do NOT remove).

 

RACE KIT COLLECTION

Details of race kit collection will be made available closer to the Series start.

Following the initial registration, you will only be required to ‘check-in’ at all future races – a quick process of recording your name so we are aware who is out on the course.

 

PRIZE CATEGORIES

MAIN PRIZES

A number of prizes are up for grabs throughout the Series, including:

• Overall fastest team 4km – fastest average total team time over the 4 events 
• Overall fastest team 6km – fastest average total team time over the 4 events
• Overall most improved individual 4km – 4km participant who records the greatest improvement between their first & last races
• Overall most improved individual 6km – 6km participant who records the greatest improvement between their first & last races.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Only teams of 5 members will be eligible to win team prizes.
• Total team times will be based on the top 4 out of your 5 team members’ times (allowing one team member to be absent, if necessary, from each event).
• Replacement runners are NOT able to fill in for registered team members who are unable to attend.

NOVELTY PRIZES

A number of other awards will be distributed, including:

• The King Award – fastest average time over 4 races by a participant who works on Edward, Albert, William or George Street
• The Queen Award – fastest average time over 4 races by a participant who works on Ann, Adelaide, Elizabeth, Margaret, Charlotte, Mary or Alice Street
• Head Honcho Award – fastest time by participants in selected office buildings in Brisbane’s CBD.
