Emily Davies | Managing Director
Realising she had a lot to offer corporate Australia, Emily established her business Corporate Health Events Management Pty Ltd. With a genuine passion for sport, events management and aspirations of establishing her own work.life.health.fun balance chem was created.
Emily’s background consists of close to a decade of experience in the events management industry and a lifetime of experience in sport. Immediately following attainment of her degree in Business Management (specialising in Events Management) at the University of Queensland, Emily was employed as an Event Coordinator by the Brisbane Lions Australian Rules Football Club. During her time in this role she took leading responsibility in a variety of events such as corporate golf days, gala auctions, club champion dinners and supporter events. Following her stint with the Brisbane Lions, Emily was approached and engaged by USM Events – one of Australia’s largest and most experienced event management specialists. Emily quickly progressed to a Senior Project Manager role with USM Events organising a variety of mass participation sporting events such as the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run, the Noosa Triathlon, the Mother’s Day Classic Fun Run/Walk and the Queensland Triathlon Series. Her proudest achievement during her time with USM Events is the successful running of the 2009 International Triathlon Union World Championships on the Gold Coast.
Emily grew up on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast developing a passion for sport and a healthy lifestyle. Her own sporting achievements include a three year scholarship in Basketball at the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS). Following the completion of her scholarship, Emily was offered a sponsored position at a high school in the United States of America where she went onto captain the Georgia Lady Crusaders Basketball team. Emily now enjoys competing in triathlon and introducing the sport to those around her.
From her office at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane she directs chem nationally with the assistance of an impressive network of industry contacts and a comprehensive knowledge of events management.
Monique Saban | Corporate Team Coordinator
Currently on maternity leave from her position as Events Manager with the Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club, Monique holds an Associate Diploma in Business Hospitality and a Diploma in Information Technology. Her studies kick-started her career in the events management industry with roles that included Wedding Coordinator and Conference Manager positions in CBD corporate properties, five years as Senior Event Coordinator on the tranquil Couran Cove Island Resort before joining the Brisbane Lions five years ago as an Events Coordinator with a promotion to her current role as Events Manager.
A natural organiser with a pride in attention to detail Monique’s passion for the events industry is based on seeing a concept come to fruition from the planning stages to the final event.
Monique grew up in Brisbane where she currently lives with her husband and six month old baby boy. She is thrilled to be part of Team chem having previously worked with Emily at the Brisbane Lions and watching her passion for the industry and sport develop into chem.
Cath Dooley | Corporate Team Coordinator
Cath brings a wealth of experience to the chem team, with previous involvement in competitor database management, corporate services and event management. Using exceptional communication practises, Cath provides all chem clients with the utmost professional service from start to finish.
